I think many of us are in the same position Grave....
If I buy one or two figures in three months, that's a lot.....
Getting rid of a lot of my figures again. I haven't bought a single figure since the Dragons came out. I haven't even been toy hunting..not even for new LOTR figures. I've pretty much stopped collecting, and I don't really see myself starting up again, unless the figure is really, really cool.
I do plan on getting the next Dragons line. I am going to get the new Mandy and Lotus. But the fun in toy collecting isn't really there for me much anymore..especially as I don't make enough to support my sideshow LOTR habit and figure collecting and saving for a new car.
so expect some figure lists or ebay auctions from me in the near future. I don't really have all that much anymore, though, and nothing really rare.

I don't think about getting rid of my stuff, but I don't by alot of stuff... Once every 3-4 month. Worst part is that I don't miss it.
Ergo the current state of the board. I think most of us are in the same boat.
I've been buying more figures in the past month than all year...there's tons of shit ocming out now that I want. Only thing is, none of it's McF...
it's weird how we were all some of the most ardent collectors and now we seem to be among those cutting back the most. I have one toy on order for the rest of the year and that'll probably be it for me.
There are things I still want to get, the rest of the Sentinel Series, I saw Gothmog, the Eye of Sauron, and Gandalf Stormcrow at TRU yesterday I want to get, and a couple SW figures.. And a Hellboy comic fig, 18" Marv and Hellboy, 20" Gandalf, and then the new Mandy and Grave.. It's just onna those not enough to spend on the stuff.. That and I have been slacking for a while myself.. The Howling was my last DVD purchase in 3 months. I just got Sephiroth the other day and Angel from ML, but I hadn't bought jack since sometime early in Sept/Aug. I think the last thing I got was 20" Legolas.. Either him or Guyver III or Gazelle..
Sounds like what is going on a lot lately - not sure what has started the trend, but for the most part it sounds like stagnation and prices.
I know my collecting has slowed down, but I had a LOT that I was into originally, even with over half of it dropping off the radar for me, it is still insane!
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">yep. Collecting just doesn't really do it for me anymore. I get plenty excited about the sideshow LOTR stuff, and I'm still really into all of my other hobbies, but for some reason figures have just lost most of their appeal. I couldn't have imagined myself barely collecting or not collecting figures at all a few years back, but now..I don't even glance down the toy aisle at wal-mart or meijer anymore.Originally posted by sculpey:
